Made of Erkodur™ thermoforming material (copolyester) with Permasoft™ soft liner material (polyethyl methacrylate) over a stone model with an average thickness between 0.5 to 1.5 mm.
Can be used to increase vertical dimension for patients, as well as determine if increased dimension can be tolerated for future permanent restorations.
Stain resistant material allows patient to drink as normal. Strongly recommended appliance be removed when eating.
Can be added to with cold-cured, methyl methacrylate acrylics.
Should be removed and cleaned with plain water and soft brush after eating and before bed.
Recommended Cleaning Instructions:
DO NOT soak the appliance in mouthwash or alcohol. DO NOT place in hot or boiling water or expose to excessive heat, as this will distort the appliance.
Patients with missing, broken or crooked teeth who want or need a restoration that slips over their existing dentition for instant improvement. Smile Transitions can also be used to “test drive” a future restoration that improves the smile. It can also be used in place of a flipper for some situations.
Not indicated for fully edentulous patients or for “costume use,” such as wacky teeth.
